Why do you have sex?

However, I think that modern people have sex for many other reasons as well. But, although many reasons exist, I think that most people have sex for the same reason.

Recently, an American university released a report on 237 different reasons why people have sex. They interviewed many different students and collected all of their various answers.

According to the report, there isn't really that big of a difference in why men and women want to have sex. People often say that men have sex for physical pleasure and that women have sex for love, but this study brought forth very different results.

In the report, they categorized the reasons into four big categories: physical desire, emotional desire, insecurity, and goal-oriented. The biggest reason for having sex across the board was "because I was attracted to the other person."



It appears that the original reason for having sex - "to bear children" - was not a popular answer among the students. Of course, there were still some couples among the students who were working hard in order to conceive.

Regardless of the reasons, however, it does seem that to the majority of students, sex, or the act of a man inserting his penis into his partner, and thrusting hard until he achieves orgasm, is something very attractive to both sexes, and is used by many as a means of communication and expressing love.
