The vagina is where the male inserts his penis during sexual intercourse. It is made out of soft, elastic membranes that can gently take in any penis, no matter how large. There are many folds on the walls of the vagina, and women in their teens and twenties usually have about 60 folds that are each 1 to 2 millimeters high. During sex, these many folds wrap around the male's erect penis and stimulate the penis as it moves in and out of the vagina. During sex, the woman's vagina takes in the man's penis, and the man thrusts his penis in and out in order to receive stimulation. When the penis receives a certain amount of pleasure, it reaches orgasm, upon which a large amount of semen is ejaculated out from the penis deep into the vagina.

After semen fertilizes the egg in the woman's womb, it becomes a place for a baby to grow in until birth. The ovaries, the follicles that produce eggs, are prepared with around one to two million eggs, and deposit them in a cycle of about 28 days. Ovulation is when the eggs move along the fallopian tubes to the womb. If a man and woman engage in sexual intercourse after an egg has been delivered to the womb, it becomes possible for semen to fertilize the egg.
